Amitabh Bachchan’s Son-in-Law Nikhil Nanda Accused of Fraud

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan’s son-in-law, Nikhil Nanda, has been accused of fraud and abetment to suicide in a legal case filed in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district, Indian media reports confirm.

Allegations Against Nikhil Nanda

Nanda, the chairperson and managing director of Escorts Kubota, an agricultural machinery company, has been accused of allegedly pressuring businessperson Jitendra Singh to meet aggressive sales targets, leading to tragic consequences.

According to the complaint filed by Singh’s brother, Nanda and other company employees harassed Singh over sales targets. Singh, who operated a tractor dealership in Dataganj, was reportedly threatened with the revocation of his dealership license and the auctioning of his property if he failed to meet expectations, India Today reported.

Tragic End and Family’s Allegations

Singh was reportedly under extreme distress due to these pressures and had shared his concerns with his family, often discussing the harassment he faced.

On November 21, 2024, officials from Escorts Kubota visited his dealership again. A day later, Singh was found dead by suicide, according to the complaint filed by his brother. Despite the family lodging a police report at the time, they allege that no action was taken.

Legal Action and Charges

Following a court order, a formal case has now been registered against Nanda and other employees of Escorts Kubota. The charges include fraud, criminal intimidation, and abetment to suicide, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.

Nanda and Bachchan Family Remain Silent

So far, Nikhil Nanda and the Bachchan family have not issued any official statements regarding the allegations.
